Emergency Stem Filler Injection: This standard feature allows the valve stem housing to be adjusted in an emergency to inject sealant with a grease nipple to provide protection against the unexpected in operating conditions.
Emergency Seat Sealant Injection: This optional feature allows the use of grease nipples to inject sealant at the end connections of the valve. This design provides a reliable seal against seat leakage caused by impurities or unexpected conditions under operating conditions.
Drain and Vent Ports: Drain ports are located at the bottom of the valve and release any fluid trapped in the body cavity of the valve body that closes the valve. The exhaust port is located at the top of the valve body cavity and removes any gas trapped in the valve body cavity of a fully closed valve. Both play an important safety role in dual block and drain and/or dual isolation and drain valve configurations.
Double Block and Bleed: This safety feature eliminates pressure build-up caused by high pressure media trapped in the valve body cavity, even when the valve is in the fully closed position.
Fire-Proof Design: Secondary metal seat design provides fire-resistant shutoff to API 607 standards. Additionally, secondary graphite stem packing and flexible graphite packing prevent leakage through the body node and stuffing box, respectively.
Internal fixation design: The upper and lower bearing plates fix the ball in place, preventing the ball from floating axially and avoiding overloading of the valve seat. Some sizes are also available in external fixation designs.
Compressed Self-Tightening Stem Packing: Our patented energizer ring sits above the main O-ring stem packing and provides protection by using media pressure to create an upward compressive force on the packing in the rare event of damage to the O-ring. The combination of upward pressure on the packing combined with the downward compressive force created by tightening the stuffing box cover results in a greater net compressive force on the packing, providing a better seal than common packing designs.
Dual seals on body nodes: Primary elastic stem packing ensures zero leakage under standard operating conditions. Secondary graphite stem packing ensures API 607 compliant stem packing for valve body joints at extreme temperatures.
Anti-Static Equipment: Standard anti-static equipment ensures electrical continuity between the ball, stem and body, preventing electrostatic charges from sparking within the valve.
Valve Position Indication: Clear stamping on the outside diameter of the mounting flange identifies the valve's open or closed position based on the key orientation of the valve stem.
